Ad Lib Theatre Company

Ad Lib Theatre Company was created on the Isle of Wight in 1996 by a group of friends with a passion for the theatre.

We ran a series of workshops on our first production, Les Liaisons Dangereuses, and finally performed it in the open air at the partially renovated country mansion Appuldurcombe House, in 1997.

Since then we have produced an annual outdoor event at this venue as well as indoor productions at many of the theatres around the Isle of Wight.

Our members are invited to join, and have a wealth of theatrical experience and training. We are too scared to add up the combined number of years' experience in the local dramatic world!

Our productions have received both local and regional acclaim, but importantly our audiences have given positive feedback show after show: and they keep coming back for more, so we are confident that they enjoy themselves.

The key feature of Ad Lib is that whilst we work hard and strive to achieve the best performance possible, we get along famously and have great time doing it. The rapport shows in our work and keeps the members and audiences coming back for more.
